New Pictures of the Family

Sorry that it always takes me forever to update the blog. I'm still getting the hang of the whole blogging world. The last two months since Julia was born have flown by.We haven't done much or gone anywhere (new baby...you know ) but we've had some good times hanging out here at home. Our families did come visit for Julia's baby blessing. That was a lot of fun! The next two months are looking like they may be more eventful. Next weekend we are going to Idaho for the 4th and at the end of the month we are going to Las Vegas to visit one of Edgar's best friends and his family. We are also moving to Provo at the end of July. For those who don't know, Edgar is going back to school to get his MBA at BYU. We are sad to leave our friends here in Salt Lake but are excited for the new adventure of graduate school. I'm also secretly very excited to move into a three bedroom apartment. When we moved into our current two bedroom a year ago, I never thought we would ever be able to use all the closet space. We had so much room! I don't know where it all went. In a year's time we have not only filled every storage space but are needing more. I guess thats what happens when another baby comes along. Ok now to the good stuff here are some cute pictures of our little girls.

Julia Jacqueline Cheney

On Thursday April 16th, Julia Jacqueline Cheney was born. She was born at 8:00 a.m. Julia followed her big sister’s example by coming 2 weeks early and weighing 6 lbs 14 oz. She is also extremely beautiful. No, seriously. Julia decided to come to earth with style—her hair is brown with blond highlights at the tip. It is the coolest thing. Now something that isn’t so cool, is her cry. She sounds like a Terradactyl. It’s pretty crazy. She likes to sleep a lot. I mean A LOT. We have tried all sorts of things to wake her up to eat, but the only thing that seems to work is having Hannah poke her in the eye. Interestingly enough, that also gets me up. I am happy to report that Hannah is an extremely wonderful big sister. She is very concerned about Julia’s well being. When seeing her “belly-button ouchie” (umbilical cord), she said, “ooh, something is wrong with her body.” Then pointing to me, she said, “you get it out!” I reassured Hannah that her ouchie would get better, but every time she sees it she says, “ooh, poor baby Julia.” Well, it is time to go and change a diaper, but I have to say one more thing. Contrary to popular belief, Julia is not named after my favorite and most beautiful actress in the world—Julia Roberts. We, Sarah and I, after much pondering and praying, followed the Spirit who led us to this beautiful, sophisticated, and charming name. Oh yeah, and to answer your next question, sweetening up my wife by suggesting we give Julia Sarah’s mother’s name (Jacqueline) for her middle name was not part of my plan. Here are some pictures and videos. Enjoy! video

We have learned that Hannah has quite the voice. She loves to sing us songs like "Mary had a little lamb," "Twinkle Little Star," and "I'm a Little Tea Pot." We hope you enjoy as much as we do.

Video of Hannah getting a little too dizzy.
video

I came into Hannah's room the other day as she was playing with her Mega blocks. Iasked her what she was building and she responded y saying, "It's my temple, don't touch it!" She was very proud of her creation.

Here is another funny picture of Hannah wrapped up in her blanket as a cocoon. She thought it was so funny!

Dora Dress!

Hannah received a very adorable Dora the Explorer dress-up from her Aunt Amy for her birthday. She loves it so much that it is hard to get it off of her for meal times and sleep. Here is a cute picture of her sleeping in her new bed dressed up as her favorite persoAdd Imagen, Dora.
