We had a wonderful Halloween! Hannah loved trick-0r-treating! The video doesn't do justice to her excitement. Julia had a great time dressing up in her cozy bunny costume! Even though she slept through all the trick-or-treating you can tell she still felt the excitement in the air.

Fun Pictures
Here are some fun pictures of the girls. They are getting so big ! Lately Hannah has adapted the ability to sleep anywhere. She loves camping outside her bedroom door on the hard vinyl with her Arial sleeping bag. And don't ask me how she managed to fall asleep at the dinner table. I guess playing dress-ups can really wear you out. Julia is very mobile! She can't crawl yet but is getting around just fine rolling everywhere. Today in a matter of seconds she got her leg stuck under the computer desk. You will also see in the picture that she loves to hold on to our little play chair and table set. She will hold on to those legs of that table forever. We have so much fun and everyday we are thanking God for the rich blessing he has given us!

Thank You Cisco
I never win anything! Ever! But this has changed my friends.
As part of the benefits of being in an MBA program, companies come on campus to recruit. They will usually give a two hour presentation, feed us pizza, and hand out pens with the company logo. Occasionally, one of them will give out a prize. Well, a couple of weeks ago, Cisco came on campus and during their information session I won a Mino HD Video camera! Woohoo! I had to name all of the presidents of the United States in alphabetical order, or did I just have to put my name in a box? I don't remember. Regardless, I checked the price on this baby and it was $200. Happy late birthday to me! It was the greatest day ever. I think the last time I won something was in elementary school; I think I won a coupon to a Pizza Hut personal pan pizza or something like that. Wait a second, I just remembered I had to read a whole bunch of books for that pizza. I’ve never won anything! And now I will probably have to wait another 28 years to win again. How depressing. But...until then, I will take a lot of high definition video!

Here is some new footage I took with my new camera. Check out the definition. :)

Highs and Lows
About twice a month we write a mass email to our friends and family giving them an update on our life here in Utah. We call it our "Highs and Lows." We decided that from now on we are going to post part of the email to the blog. Don't worry mom, we will also add some pictures of the girls for you to enjoy.

Edgar
High: It’s fall! I absolutely love fall. It always brings back great memories of raking widow’s lawns, carving pumpkins, trick or treating the same house several times (hey it wasn’t my fault the guy handed out Keebler cookies), drinking hot chocolate with a couple of spoons of vanilla ice cream in it, and cuddling up inside watching a great oldie with my mom. It’s the greatest time of the year. Happy fall everyone!
Hannah Says:
Hannah has given me (Edgar) a nickname. She occasionally calls me “baker.” This affectionate nickname comes from Cinderella 2. If you haven’t seen it, this movie is just a collection of three different stories. One of them is of Anastasia falling in love with the baker and Cinderella helping her win his heart. The cutest part is when I ask her, “If I’m the baker then who are you?” She replies, “I’m Anastasia.” It melts my heart every time.
Today Hannah was picking her nose and I said, “oh gross!” While continuing to pick her nose, she replied, “No, it’s not gross. It’s just a bugger.”
The other day, Hannah put on a pair of jeans because it was cold outside. Well, because of the summer, it had been a while since she had jeans on and when she put them on she put her hands in her pocket, looked down and then quickly put her head back up as if she had just realized something important and said, “Look, I’m daddy!” That little stinker was making fun of me because I don’t own a pair of shorts (besides the gym shorts I wear to bed) and I’m always wearing pants!Oh, this one is my favorite! We had just parked right next to a red suburban and Hannah points to it and says, “Woah, that red thing looked like a hotdog for a second. Haha.” It was super hilarious! Especially because she laughed at her own joke.SarahHigh: I just spent the last week with my sister and her family in Boise. It was a very enjoyable trip. My sister was so accommodating and the girls were wonderful. My sister Beth is one of my best friends. I had so much fun staying up late talking, going couponing, and taking the kids to the park. The plane ride there and back went smoothly too. On the way home the captain said we were going to be delayed at least a half an hour. I knew sitting in the plane an extra half an hour was not going to be easy, but next thing I knew Hannah and Julia were asleep. They slept through the whole delay and through half the plane ride. I appreciated this small and simple blessing and thanked God right then with a silent prayer.
Julia
High: I should get an award for being the best roller ever. I can sprint (roll) across around in a half a minute no problem. Sometimes I like to play hide and seek with my parents. Today my dad placed me safely on a blanket in the living room. He stepped in to the kitchen for a moment (a couple feet away). A moment later he glanced into the living room from in the kitchen and I was gone. It took him a few moments but he finally found me smiling up at him from under the kitchen table. How many 5 month old babies do you know who have that speed?
